Prostate Cancer

You should know that prostrate cancer, unlike other forms of cancer is insidious by nature; it takes a while to invade the body and an even lengthier time before symptoms associated with it are displayed.

Research reveals that after lung cancer, prostrate cancer is the number two cause of death among American men.

The symptoms of prostate cancer vary and include the presence of blood in the urine, constant urination, especially at night, pains in the lower back, and pains in the pelvic region.

Prostate cancer stands a better chance of being treated successfully if it is discovered on time; this is why it is vital to subject yourself to medical check up on a regular basis.

An estimate of 549,000 new cases of prostrate cancer the world over as at 2000 was given by the world health organization (WHO).

Statistics indicate that Africa American men are twice more likely to suffer from prostrate cancer than other people.

The Canadian cancer society revealed that 16,900 males are diagnosed with cancer each year.

Despite the resources that have been released to fund researches in an attempt to identify the causes of prostrate cancer, it is still a disease that defies a definite source.

If you want to decrease your chances of being diagnosed with prostrate cancer, then you should eat more of meals that contain a lot of vitamins especially vitamin E; these vitamins eliminate the growth of free radicals that are responsible for triggering prostrate cancer.

It has been discovered by the American Institute for research, that a third of all cancer cases can be prevented with the right diet, exercise and a consistent normal body weight.
