Symptoms of Prostate Cancer

By Maria Wren

Early detection of this disease means early treatment. But the symptoms of prostate cancer in the early stages are often non-existent if not altogether absent

Urinary problems are usually the earliest signs to present themselves. These in themselves may be misleading as they are the same for both non-cancerous and cancerous tumors.

Benign tumors are easy to treat if they are the cause for the urinary difficulties. The doctor will do this in order to verify the case for malignant cells.

These are the symptoms to look out for :

-- passing urine often

-- leaking of urine and difficulty in starting urination

-- pain or even a burning sensation in urination

-- weak stream of urine

-- blood in the urine

-- some amount of impotence

-- painful ejaculation

-- discomfort in the pelvis and legs

-- stiffness or pain in the lower back

-- losing weight

The doctor will give an accurate diagnosis of the patient's exact condition after appropriate and thorough testing.

Symptoms of prostate cancer need early detection to allow for checking the spread of the disease and what treatment is needed. Why not get tested today.
